Lessons from Auschwitz

On Thursday 14 November, four Year 13 students visited Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland as part of the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Lessons from Auschwitz Project. In the coming months, they will be sharing their thoughts and findings with the whole school.  This is their reflection on the visit:

“Visiting Auschwitz is something none of us will ever forget. This project was extremely eye-opening and informative, and we are all very grateful for being able to take part in something so large. Our day was educational and well-organised so that we could learn and see as much as possible while having time for individual reflection, as well as considering how what we have learnt can be shared in a respectful manner. We are all incredibly thankful for this experience as a new perspective on our studies and the wider world, and will continue to educate ourselves and those around us in the future.”
