Arkwright Scholarship
Kerry from Year 11 has been awarded an Arkwright scholarship to help her during her Sixth Form studies to pursue an engineering career. There's a grant of £250 a year to Kerry and the school will get a one off payment of £200. The rigorous process includes having to: perform and write up a practical project that is expected to take a minimum 2-3 months; write a detailed personal statement about their engineering passion; and sit an hour long interview, having their work and statement dissected by two engineers. It is the biggest and most competitive of the engineering scholarships available. Well done to Kerry!
