Blencathra Geography Trip
Thirty-three A Level Geography students undertook four full successful days of fieldwork and data collection in the Lake District from 15-20 January. This included some students going to the town of Keswick to complete human fieldwork data collection and some students went to the coastline of Silloth to assess coastal processes and changes along ecosystems, such as sand dunes. A handful of students also climbed up Brundfell woodlands to look at the stores and flows of the carbon and water cycle. On Thursday evening, students enjoyed a leisurely walk around Blencathra to a waterfall for a group photo, something which has become a tradition for this A Level Geography visit.
