Extracurricular
Photography
The 'Be A Super Awesome Photographer Club' is open to all students in Years Seven to Nine. You can bring along your own camera, use your camera phone or borrow a compact camera. Weekly challenges will be the starting point for your photography. Week 1: Pretend you're a dog and take photographs like Elliot Erwitt, be inspired by his 1950 photograph New York City. Week 5: Make up stories: use props to make a picture that is inspired by a story you have written or your favourite book, taking inspiration from Holly Andres. During the club you will explore the formal elements relevant to that week’s challenge; then you will have a week to capture your best image and upload it to a shared area. We will share your best photograph at the start of the following week. Termly exhibitions will showcase your best work and outstanding work will be entered into ‘The Young Artists’ Summer Show at the Royal Academy.
