The two-day event welcomed over 1000 competitors representing 30 countries, making it a fantastic international competition. Rachel performed exceptionally well, demonstrating great skill, determination and composure, and achieved an outstanding result by securing gold, silver and bronze medals across three separate divisions.
Her karate instructor, Steven Edwards is the Chief Instructor for England with the Gima-Ha Karate Association and said that she “represented her association, dojo and school with exemplary etiquette, courage and confidence. Her achievements are a testament to her hard work, commitment and dedication to her training, and we are incredibly proud of her success”. Well done to Rachel for her achievement as a world champion!
