Computer Science Trip to Canterbury Christ Church University
Year 10 Computer Science students visited Christ Church University for an Editing in Film workshop on Tuesday 18 March to show the breath of careers within the Computer Science field. Dr Liz Samson held the workshop along with another lecturer to show students the different techniques used in film editing and how computer science is used within the industry. The students got to use professional software to edit various clips and sound tracks to create a montage to convey different feelings within their montage.
Dr Liz Samson said, “Thank you for coming with your students yesterday – we were so impressed by their intuition and understanding when it came to editing and creating meaning from sequences!”
