World Book Day 2025
On Thursday 6 March, students and staff celebrated World Book Day. Staff and Sixth Form students dressed up as some of their favourite book characters and a ‘Famous Female Writers’ treasure hunt was held at lunchtime. In Mentor Period, students created their own 'Book in a Box' to celebrate both World Book Day and International Women's Day. Mentor Groups chose to depict a story by a female author in a shoe box.
These are being displayed in the Library. Congratulations to AB DSA-ENO, EG JLE and JP TBE for their winning entries!
Both staff and students have also had the chance to complete the National Literacy Trust annual survey- giving their feedback on reading, writing and oracy. This feedback will help us develop our whole school literacy approach.
