Trip to Dungeness
The Year 9 Art Trip to Dungeness involved learning about the history and ecology of the estate, ascending the lighthouse, visiting working artists studios and galleries, drawing in Derek Jarman's Garden and learning about the artist and filmmaker’s life. There was a short train ride on the steam train to Romney Sands to make sand sculptures. Back in the classroom, students have been using their photography to create cyanotype prints.
