Private Members' Bills Ballot
On 9 November our Year 12 politics class got to take part in the selection of the House of Lords private members’ bills ballot. We were on a zoom call with the selection team and could watch and listen to it take place. This was a great opportunity for us to see the process live and understand it in greater depth. Our class also got paired with the Artificial Intelligence (Regulation) Bill introduced by Lord Holmes of Richmond which means we can follow the bill throughout its journey through the House of Commons and the House of Lords. This was a very exciting moment for our class and when we found out we were paired with that bill there was a lot of happy screaming and cheering! Overall, I think it was a great experience and one I would greatly recommend.
