Highworth Grammar School is pleased to offer school-based teacher training in a range of subject areas for academic year 2027-28.

We are looking for enthusiastic, inspirational and committed candidates who have a strong desire to begin a rewarding career in teaching and education.

Highworth Grammar School is an over-subscribed 11 – 18, selective girls’ school of 1500+ students with 400+ students in our mixed Sixth Form.  We are situated in the South East of England, with excellent transport links to both the rest of Kent and London.  The school was judged to be Outstanding in all areas in January 2025. 

This is a wonderful opportunity to train in a very strong, successful and supportive team in a popular school.   

Successful candidates will need to meet the following minimum entry requirements:

• Hold an undergraduate degree awarded by a UK higher education provider, or a recognised equivalent qualification.
• Have achieved a standard equivalent to grade C/4, or above, in GCSE examinations in English and mathematics.
• Highworth Grammar School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. An Enhanced DBS check is required for this post.

Interviews will take place face-to-face or online with colleagues representing both KMT and Highworth Grammar School.
